Hey everybody releasing some upcoming news> I have decided to try my hand at another monthly art challenge. For the month of December I will be drawing a roleplaying character a day, some in color if I can swing it. I am calling it D&December! I am sure i am not the first person to think of this name or challenge. But like my Monster March challenge, that a lot of people seemed to like, I will be rolling up characters to make them kinda random.
Recently I made a very simplified version of D&D for my gaming group to play, it is meant to be light hearted and less on power gaming and rules lawyering, and more about the story and improvisation. We watched Harmon's Quest, loved it, and wanted to make it feel a little like that. You can even roll up the character almost completely. you roll for your race, class, weapon and armor. We have played a couple of games and most of us had a lot of fun. you make a character in under 15 minutes with full stats, I even make a new NPC that the group rolls up for me to keep with the Randomness so far they have been bards for some reason.
So to all my gaming artist friends out there come join me! you don't have to create a character rolling system just draw up your past characters or other characters from a gaming party from your role playing adventures! what ever game you played, DnD, Pathfinder, White Wolf, Star Wars, Larping what ever you want and post it with the hashtag #dndecember
And please let me know if this sounds at all interesting or fun.
